Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health
Keeping up with kids, work, relationships, and your never-ending to-do list is exhausting. I help women feeling anxious, lost, or unhappy when the stress of balancing everything becomes too much. We will work together to better understand and overcome your overwhelming thoughts and feelings. We will find your strengths and learn new skills so that you are able to find peace and happiness each day.
With a certification in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International, I support expectant and new mothers struggling with the difficulties of adjusting to motherhood. Motherhood is often associated with joy and hope, but it can also bring fear, racing thoughts, hopelessness, and belief that you will never be enough. You may be overwhelmed, exhausted, and feel like you are doing this alone. I offer a safe place for you to share your hopes and fears about your pregnancy, your new baby, or your experience with infertility or pregnancy loss.
About Me:
I have always enjoyed listening to people’s life experiences to better understand who they are. Clinical social work has allowed me to grow this passion into a career where I am able to walk alongside individuals when they are struggling with changes in their lives and help them see a way through. I have experience working with mothers in private practice and in hospitals, including the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Mother Baby Unit, Labor and Delivery, and Maternal Fetal Medicine.
